Agreement

These terms govern your use of Jessalyn. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

AI data processing and sharing

Jessalyn uses third-party AI to provide consultations, messages, reflections, and intentions. By continuing on the “Before we begin” agreement screen, you consent to the AI data sharing described in this section.

We send your messages and relevant personal context to OpenRouter and the AI providers it routes requests to, currently Google. This context can include current and past consultations, journal entries you make available to Jessalyn, intentions and your answers, and related generated responses and notes. These providers process this information to generate responses and personalized content, including follow-up messages and scheduled intentions.

If you opt in to health sharing, relevant health summaries may be included during a consultation; raw health samples remain on your device. If you choose to share approximate location, your approximate area and time zone may also be included as context, not your latitude or longitude.

If you use voice, microphone audio is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for speech-to-text processing. The resulting transcript is processed through OpenRouter and its routed AI providers as described above, and response text is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for text-to-speech.

When an AI feature uses web search, a generated search query is sent to Brave Search, and search results may be used to inform the response.

Jessalyn stores consultation transcripts and generated responses to preserve your history and provide its features, but does not intentionally store raw microphone recordings after the live request. Providers may retain information under their own policies and our configured service terms. See the Privacy policy for more about processing, retention, and your data choices.

A reflection tool, not medical care

Jessalyn supports personal reflection and wellness. It does not provide medical or mental health diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional. Artificial intelligence can misunderstand you or produce incomplete or inaccurate responses. Use your judgment before acting on a response.

Jessalyn is not an emergency or crisis service. If you may hurt yourself or someone else, or face an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service now.

Your account and content

You are responsible for safeguarding access to your device and passkeys and for activity under your account. You retain your rights in content you submit. You give Jessalyn a limited permission to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and transform that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and provide features you request.

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to violate law or another person’s rights. Do not rely on Jessalyn for decisions where an error could cause death, personal injury, or serious harm.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Apple or Google under the price and renewal terms shown before purchase. Unless the store says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through your store account. Refunds and billing disputes are governed by the applicable store’s rules. Features and limits may vary by plan and may change with reasonable notice.

Service availability and ownership

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Jessalyn, including to maintain security or comply with law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Jessalyn’s software, branding, and service content—other than content you submit—are owned by Jessalyn or its licensors and may be used only as the service permits.

Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jessalyn is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jessalyn and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use and changes

You may stop using Jessalyn at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other people, or comply with law. We may update these terms and will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect after use ends.
